From August 18 to 20, 2024, the 22nd National Conference on Fatigue and Fracture was grandly
held in the historical and cultural city of Chengdu, Sichuan. The conference was
co-sponsored by the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the Chinese
Society for Corrosion and Protection, the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the
Chinese Materials Research Society, the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and
the Chinese Society for Metals. It was jointly hosted by Sichuan University and Chengdu
University, attracting more than 800 experts and scholars from over 200 institutions across
the country to discuss the latest research achievements in the field of fatigue and
fracture.
